… that the Bauerfeind Supervisory Board has existed since March 2003?

At that time, Bauerfeind was changed to an incorporated company (AG = Aktiengesellschaft), which, by law, requires a supervisory board.

The Supervisory Board monitors and advises the Executive Board which runs the company. Big decisions, such as larger investments, however, need to be approved by the Supervisory Board. This also includes the Supervisory Board’s special right to appoint members of the Executive Board.

Bauerfeind AG’s Supervisory Board and Executive Board maintain constant contact. The Supervisory Board usually meets four times per year, more often for special occasions, such as meetings for strategy development. The record saw eight scheduled meetings in one year.

Supervisory Boards do not meet together with the Executive Board as a general rule, but this is often the case. The last Supervisory Board meeting this year will take place on December 14. The main topic will be the adoption of planned measures for 2021, which the Executive Board has to submit to the Supervisory Board for approval.

The members of the Bauerfeind Supervisory Board are: Prof. Rainer Kirchdörfer (Chairman), Klaus-Dieter Laidig (Vice Chairman), Prof. Dr. Hans-Jörg Bullinger, and Beatrix Bauerfeind-Johnson.
