The milestones in 2024

Annual review

At the end of each year, it’s a nice tradition to take a look back... What happened at Bauerfeind in 2024? We have summarized selected events for you in words and pictures:

The trade show

In May, Bauerfeind was represented at the biggest international trade show of the medical aid industry: OTWorld. The figures are impressive: we were there for four days, occupying a space of 500 square meters – as one of 574 exhibitors from 42 countries.

The anniversaries

In June, more than 50 employees were honored in Zeulenroda for their many years’ being a part of Bauerfeind. Heike Stojanek, Marion Grimm, and Birgit Baum received particular recognition because they have been working for Bauerfeind for more than 40 years, as well as Andreas Tutte who joined the company in 1977.

The crane

In July, a crane was the symbol of Bauerfeind’s growth in Gera. Five knitting machines were lifted into the fourth story of Keplerstraße 24/26, a site opened in 2019, using a 35-meter crane – just in time to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the company premises.

The Games

Before the Olympic Games in July and August in Paris, Bauerfeind equipped many athletes with products, including German NBA star Dennis Schröder (right) and his team mates. An international Bauerfeind team helped in the Olympic Village again.

Sporthilfe foundation

In August, our partnership with the Deutsche Sporthilfe foundation was extended. Sporthilfe Director Karin Orgeldinger and Rainer Berthan signed the contract. Since 2013, we have been helping all of the more than 4,000 athletes who are being supported by Sporthilfe when they needed it.

The summer fete

Almost 1,000 colleagues enjoyed our summer fete in August to celebrate 95 years of Bauerfeind in Zeulenroda. It was a day filled with joy, sharing, and program highlights – table tennis legend Timo Boll visiting, here on the Environment Team’s energy bike, will likely be a memory for many for a long time.

The 15th ZKOS

More than 200 participants met in August at the 15th Zeulenroda Congress for Orthopedics and Sports Orthopedics (ZKOS). With its interdisciplinary program, the conference promotes exchanges between physicians working at hospitals and at their own practices.

Filming

The broadcaster Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) filmed a guest commentary in Zeulenroda for the program “Ländermagazin” shown by the TV channel 3sat in September. Hidden Champions in Thuringia that are market leaders in their industry were presented. This program can be accessed via the media library.

Color effects

VenoTrain curaflow has been available in two new color effects since October: Black Fire and Black Water. At first glance, an elegant black is visible. At a closer look, a fiery red or vibrant blue shines through. The color interaction appears during movement.
