Annual Review

Milestones in 2025

At the end of each year, it’s a nice tradition to take a look back... What happened at Bauerfeind in Germany in 2025? We have summarized selected events for you in words and pictures:

Happy faces...

...after the launch of Salesforce in the Field Sales Force in January. The team consisting of several divisions subsequently connected various areas and countries to the new CRM system. Using Salesforce, customer relations can be managed even more transparently, independent of any location. More than 300 colleagues currently work with this new system.

A festive anniversary celebration

In February, 30 colleagues were honored for being part of Bauerfeind for 10 or 25 years, respectively. Together with their Line Managers, they spent an evening celebrating at Bio-Seehotel. Rainer Berthan, Chief Executive Officer, and Günter Steinmetz, Head of HR, thanked the guests of honor for their many years of commitment.

A beneficial cooperation

Since February, Bauerfeind has been combining forces with Coldplasmatech, a start-up from Greifswald. The innovative company uses cold plasma to treat chronic wounds that do not heal effectively. The partners utilize joint communication, for example at conferences, workshops, and in a podcast.

Design Award

Our color effects Black Fire and Black Water featured in the VenoTrain curaflow were honored with the prestigious 2025 Red Dot Product Design Award in April. The unique interaction of colors impressed the judges: A fiery red or vibrant blue shines through with this elegant black product. BIC’s Sandra Popp and Karsten Knauer who had the idea and developed the product were particularly pleased about receiving the award.

Business Economy Night

790 guests took the opportunity of Business Economy Night in May to visit Bauerfeind in Zeulenroda. More than 60 colleagues made sure that everything went smoothly. They turned 2025 Business Economy Night into a great experience.

Focus on Remscheid

At the end of July, Rainer Berthan, Chief Executive Officer, and Katharina Dietrich, Chief Technical Officer, visited Remscheid. They were impressed by the production site and even attempted some of the manufacturing steps.

Summer feeling in Gera

August saw a whole load of bumping, spiking, and cheering: Bauerfeind joined the Gera Beach event as a presenter for a day. Several teams challenged each other at the companies’ competition. Afterwards, colleagues enjoyed the evening with a little after-work party in Gera’s market square at 27 degrees Celsius.

Symbolic groundbreaking

Katharina Dietrich, Chief Technical Officer, Christian Hagemann, Head of Technology (left), and David Eichhorn, Head of Property Management (right) broke ground in September for the new Energy Center in Zeulenroda. This will supply the site with sufficient energy in the future.

A new generation

If the forces that stabilize the patella are off balance, the GenuTrain P3 will help. The new knee support generation has been available since October. It features an innovative two-component pad with a uniquely positioned corrective strap. The knitted fabric, sizing system, and measuring points are also new.

Expansion of Central Logistics

In November, the first signs of construction for the expansion of Central Logistics in Zeulenroda could be spotted: The installation of the medium-voltage control center took place. Colette Boos-John, Thuringia’s Economics Minister, attended the groundbreaking with the Board Members.
