Impressions from “The latest from the Executive Board” in Remscheid

An invitation to Zeulenroda

The Executive Board’s visit in Remscheid began with a small group meeting: A conversation with the management at the location, where Bauerfeind has nearly 80 employees, addressed the current sentiment: What has changed since the Executive Board’s visit last summer? What has been planned? This was followed by a tour of the premises, including the new showroom.

As they previously did in Zeulenroda and Gera, Rainer Berthan and Katharina Dietrich also provided information about the company’s situation and next steps. These two talks were rounded off with input from Peter Kaffsach, Chairman of the Works Council, regarding developments at the location. At the lunchtime snack after the talks, there was time for everyone to engage in conversation.

One question from the audience resulted in a special moment. The colleagues at Remscheid had been attentively following the developments at the headquarters in Zeulenroda and wanted to know: Can we visit the new campus when it’s done? “Yes, of course,” responded Rainer Berthan and invited the employees from Remscheid to visit Zeulenroda. It was agreed that the employees would make the trip to Thuringia in one or two buses. The prospect of a return visit elicited a huge round of applause – and the employees are already looking forward to it.
