Until April 2026, Bauerfeind can be seen on live TV with an advert – during 86 NBA basketball games (National Basketball Association) on Amazon Prime. The advert is intended to increase the brand awareness of Bauerfeind Sports and continue to boost Bauerfeind’s popularity on Amazon.
“We can attribute a lot of Bauerfeind Sports sales to Amazon,” reports Marco Nemetschek. With his B2C eCommerce Team, the Marketplace Manager takes care of Amazon sales in close cooperation with the Bauerfeind Sports Marketing Department. Both teams have signed the current advertising deal with an Amazon agency and developed the basketball campaign. On the one hand, this includes a 15-second commercial which probably several million people will have seen by the middle of next year. On the other hand, different types of adverts are being shown directly on Amazon. Furthermore, we are contacting customers again away from the platform who have had exposure to Bauerfeind Sports there. “This retargeting is essential for the campaign to work effectively,” explains Marco Nemetschek. “All measures have to link up so that Bauerfeind Sports stays in the customers’ minds and ideally, they’ll buy Bauerfeind products rather than something from the competition.” This may also be the case because Bauerfeind Sports is authorized to sell NBA products, thanks to the licensing partnership with the NBA.
