This week, the general managers of the Bauerfeind subsidiaries were guests in Zeulenroda to talk about projects and measures in 2023. The program included a visit to our business premises in Gera in the Keplerstraße commercial area, which has been developing successfully since 2019.
Bauerfeind has been producing in Gera since 2019 and is currently expanding production to more than 7,000 m² at two locations in Keplerstraße 26 and 35: In addition to production, work preparation, quality assurance and a raw materials warehouse are now also located there.
In 2022 alone, 70 new employees were hired in Gera. This increases the number of employees to currently 220. They manufacture a total of over 40 different products, including compression stockings, bandages and orthoses. The production capacities in Gera are to be expanded - in the rooms already rented in Keplerstraße. A new building in Gera is no longer an option for Bauerfeind, as was also announced this week.
