Dirk Nowitzki visits the Bauerfeind stand
OTWorld 2022

From May 10 to 13, 2022, manufacturers, retailers and service providers will meet in Leipzig for the international trade fair OTWorld. For Bauerfeind, this is the first large trade fair in four years with a stand presence and a live program on-site as well as digital workshop offerings. Janine Heimrich, team leader for trade fairs/conventions and events, explains what our stand will look like, which highlights are planned and and what brand ambassador Dirk Nowitzki is doing at our stand.

What does Bauerfeind’s exhibition at OTWorld look like?
We are represented with a almost 500 square meter stand in Hall 5. For comparison: This is an area the size of two tennis courts. All Bauerfeind product areas are presented there. There is a large event area for the live program and two meeting rooms for personal meetings.
What is the focus of content for the presentation?
The theme for our presentation is “Bauerfeind – The Treatment”. We are presenting ourselves as a solution provider for all areas of treatment. This is also reflected in our program: Every day, we provide information about a topic: Back therapy on Tuesday, compression therapy on Wednesday, treatment options for osteoarthritis on Thursday and prevention and lifestyle on Friday. Physicians, experts specializing in medical supply retail and physiotherapy, patients and athletes as well as employees from our company will speak and demonstrate our comprehensive offerings for non-surgical treatment.
What digital offerings are available?
After the entirely digital OTWorld connect in 2020, we learned that we can also reach many people with relevant content online. For this reason, we are also offering twelve digital workshops in 2022. On each day of the trade fair, there will be a specialist talk on the relevant main topic in German, English and this year also in Spanish for the first time. To offer the best expertise in this language as well, Luis Ramón from our subsidiary Bauerfeind Ibérica will travel to Zeulenroda and run the workshops together with our colleagues Torsten Krapf and Tino Reichardt, broadcasting live from the Bauerfeind Academy.
What international guests are we expecting on site?
At the same time as OTWorld, the International Meeting will be held in Leipzig, where colleagues from the subsidiaries will engage in dialogue. Of course, they will also visit the trade fair and meet Bauerfeind customers and employees on site.
What are your personal highlights?
Of course, I am looking forward to the live talks at the stand – especially that our brand ambassador Dirk Nowitzki is going to visit us. In a short talk, he will offer exciting insight into his impressive career. The author and actor Samuel Koch will talk about his life on Wednesday with the topic “Mobility for body and spirit”. Of course, there are many other exciting moments on the program. The biggest highlight for our team is simply that it’s finally possible to hold another big trade fair in person after four years! That’s by no means something to take for granted in these times.
