Maria Luisa Azzi and Chen Spencer

Maria Luisa Azzi and Chen Spencer from our subsidiary in China visited our headquarters in Zeulenroda in July. We took this opportunity to speak to these two ladies.

How did your visit to Zeulenroda come about?

Spencer: I started to work for Bauerfeind six months ago and I was invited to have a look around the headquarters. I was really excited about that.

Maria: Personal exchange is really important to us because it allows us to dive into logistics and storage processes as well as discuss digital marketing strategies. We can then use those in our own region. We’re also taking part in product training.

What are your tasks at Bauerfeind in Shanghai?

Maria: I’m in charge of Marketing and e-Commerce in the Asia region. China is the biggest market there. For me, it’s key to create synergies between countries where Bauerfeind has a presence so our products can be sold effectively online.

Spencer: I’m responsible for Social Media and Influencer Management in China. I plan what content will be published on the different platforms. 

What role does Social Media play in China?

Spencer: There’s no Google in China. Information is sometimes censored. That’s why Social Media is a really important way for people to get information – so it’s crucial for Bauerfeind to have a presence there, too. Our most important Social Media service is called Little RedNote. It’s not just for looking at content but also for buying products.
