We will tell you about well-known as well as VIP guests at the polyclinic, and we will show what key contacts have been established here as well as what the Dining Hall for staff and volunteers in the Olympic Village looks like.
Say cheese: our partner Andreas Toba visited the service station with his team mate Lukas Dauser who was given compression products by our colleague Dirk Schwager for his arm that was injured before the Olympic Games. Dauser ranked 7th in the parallel bars.
The tennis legend Rafael Nadal played at the Olympic Games in Paris with the Upper Leg Sleeve from Bauerfeind Sports.
It was given to him by TGA Spain’s Luis Ramon Molla. He is part of our international team in the polyclinic and made contact with the physical therapist of both Nadal and his doubles partner Carlos Alcaraz in the Spanish building.
More than a “mandatory appointment”: Whenever there are Olympic Games, Marie-Élaine Grant visits the Bauerfeind team in the polyclinic and finds out about current developments. The Irishwoman does this for professional reasons; she is the head of the physiotherapists within the IOC and reports on the work in the polyclinic. Since the collaboration with Bauerfeind has now spanned several Olympics, seeing each other again is always a joy – on both sides.
Jörg Ritzerfeld with Philippe Chenaie, Director of the French subsidiary, during the meeting of the IOC’s Medical Commission: this is where the medical staff was trained in the polyclinic’s processes and also informed about Bauerfeind’s service.
Anna-Maria Wagner, German flag bearer, made it to the semi-finals of the judo competitions, where she lost. She was then provided with a SofTec Genu by Ann-Christin Höhne (2nd from left) and Dirk Schwager (right).Casper Grim, German Team Physician, accompanied her (left).
A new product that packs a punch: our technicians have already been able to help people with cruciate ligament injuries seven times with the SecuTec Genu Flex. This picture shows Tatum Steward, Australian hockey player, with our colleague Frederic Blaise. The SecuTec Genu Flex also went to injured athletes from France (rugby sevens), Colombia (skateboarding), South Africa (hockey), Germany (hockey), Brazil (gymnastics) and Algeria (fencing).
Establishing contact: discussions with Prof. Guiseppe Massazza (3rd from the right), Chief Medical Officer of the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo where the next Olympic Games will be held. Also pictured, from left to right: Jörg Ritzerfeld (Olympics Project Manager), Markus Moller (Director of Bauerfeind Sports), Carlo Sabato (CEO of Bauerfeind Italy), Miryam Mühlbach (Marketing Manager, Bauerfeind Sports), Dirk Schwager (Director of Sport Performance Concepts).

Intense activity: our team helped many athletes during all shifts. Jan Zimmermann from the German volleyball team was there, too. He was measured for new foot orthoses. Here are some additional pictures of our guests.
Our products can also be seen on TV and on social media. This is what we found.
Where did our team eat, and what? In the Olympic Village, food was served in the Dining Hall for staff and volunteers…
... for in between, a little something from a French baker was also welcome...
... and the dining table at the accommodation was also something to behold. Luis Ramon Molla brought specialties from his home in Spain.
