Three moving stories from our colleagues
Golden Moments in Italy

Goosebumps and great joy were felt by our team at the polyclinic in Milan when Francesca Lollobrigida, double Olympic champion in speed skating and testimonial for Bauerfeind Italy, stopped by with her medals. "We are just overjoyed and incredibly proud that she was able to make it here to visit us," emphasized Carlo Sabato, Managing Director of Bauerfeind Italy.

It's just incredible that she was here. These two victories over 5,000 and 3,000 meters have deeply touched us," adds marketing manager Fiorella Buzzanca. Curve after curve in the competitions showed Francesca what it means to go beyond any limit. After many injuries in the past, she fought her way back to the Winter Olympics and won double gold in her home country. Our colleagues in Italy wrote on social media:
"We are proud to have them as our ambassador. We are proud to accompany those who make history.
Thank you for this Olympic moment!"
"Medal Presentation" in the Emergency Room

Annelie Halank, a field service employee in northern Germany, experienced another unforgettable moment during a service in Livigno. She was called to the emergency room by doctors at midday on February 14th. An American freestyle skier was injured during a mogul skiing competition. There was suspicion of an elbow fracture. After measuring, Annelie put on an OmoLoc and entered her personal data into our system. "When I transferred her data into the system at our office, I realized I had just provided a gold medal winner with Elizabeth Lemley." After another inquiry in the emergency room, Annelie met the athlete again, inquired about her condition, and congratulated her on her Olympic victory. “She then told me that she had just won bronze as well and if I wanted to see the medals. She pulled it out and her team doctor took this photo," Annelie reports. "She was so grateful for our help and then was happy with me that the fracture diagnosis fortunately didn't confirm."
Thuringians celebrate athletes with Bauerfeind

On February 13, Thuringia's Prime Minister Mario Voigt hosted a "Thuringian Evening" at the German House. As a Thuringian company operating at the Winter Olympics, Bauerfeind received an invitation to this event, which was attended by Jörg Ritzerfeld as the project manager for Bauerfeind at the Olympics. That evening, the successful Thuringian lugers Max Langenhan and Julia Taubitz, as well as the Thuringian skeleton racer Christopher Grotheer, were honored. Additionally, Mario Voigt informed that there will be an additional medal prize for Thuringian athletes.
