Join our naming contest!

The project team from Corporate Communications, IT, and HR is currently working intensively on the fundamentals. The page structure, design, and initial content templates are already being developed. In parallel, a suitable solution is being sought for mobile access for production employees without a fixed PC workstation.

The new intranet is scheduled to launch in Germany next year. A gradual worldwide roll-out is planned through 2029.
 

Before we get started, one crucial thing is still missing: the right name for our new intranet. That's why we are launching our naming competition and are looking for your ideas.

Which name fits our new intranet and Bauerfeind? Furthermore, the name should be short, easy to understand, and suitable for international use. Submit your suggestion and help shape the new intranet from the very beginning. To do so, submit your name suggestion online here by September 18, 2026. Each employee may submit one name suggestion.

After the submission deadline, a jury consisting of the intranet project team, a graphic designer, and the agency supporting the intranet development will make a preliminary selection based on the specified criteria. Additionally, the legal department will check that the names are available for use under trademark law. You will then vote on the favorites resulting from the preliminary selection along with all Bauerfeind employees to elect our new intranet name.
 

The three names that receive the most votes in the final vote will be able to enjoy universal vouchers that can be used at numerous online retailers.

1st Place: 100 € voucher 
2nd Place: 70 € voucher 
3rd Place: 50 € voucher

Additionally, we are raffling off five vouchers worth 20 € each among all participants.

Only employees of the Bauerfeind Group are eligible to participate. Each employee may submit a name suggestion through September 18, 2026. Name suggestions received after this date cannot be considered. Proposals may be submitted either via the provided link or by filling out the postcard.
The submitted name suggestion must be original and may not be obviously based on existing trademarks or company names, nor may it infringe on the rights of third parties. The name must meet the following criteria: short, easy to understand, suitable for international use, and appropriate for Bauerfeind. Suggestions containing political, sexual, or other inappropriate statements will not be considered. The suggestion must be original.
After the submission deadline has passed, a jury consisting of the intranet project team—including graphic designers—as well as the agency overseeing the project and legal counsel will make a preliminary selection from the submitted proposals. These selected proposals will then be announced again to employees for voting. All employees of Bauerfeind AG may vote for their preferred name during the announced time period.
There is no guarantee that the selected name will be used if factual or legal reasons—such as its meaning or pronunciation, third-party rights discovered later, or Bauerfeind’s brand strategy—preclude its use. The prizes will be universal gift cards redeemable at numerous online retailers.
Cash payouts or exchanges of prizes are not permitted. Legal recourse is excluded. Winners will be notified of their prize after the voting period ends. Bauerfeind AG reserves the right to modify or terminate the contest early for good cause if proper conduct of the contest can no longer be guaranteed for legal, technical, or organizational reasons.
By selecting the winner’s name, the winner transfers all rights of use and exploitation of the name to Bauerfeind AG and its subsidiaries free of charge and without any time or geographical restrictions. Bauerfeind AG is entitled to modify the name, its spelling, or its design at any time, or to select a new name.

Privacy Notice
The personal data you provide (e.g., name and organizational affiliation) will be processed for the purpose of conducting the contest. This data will be used exclusively to conduct the contest, to identify and notify the winners, and to award the prizes. In addition, the winners’ names and photos may be used for reporting purposes in Bauerfeind AG’s internal communications.
Participation in the contest and the associated processing of your personal data are based on your consent. Participation in the contest is not possible without this data. Your employment relationship will not be adversely affected in any way if you choose not to participate.
You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect. To do so, simply send a message to kommunikation@bauerfeind.com. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up until the time of revocation remains unaffected by this.
