What was the most memorable moment you recall from your torch relay?

Lorenzo: The most unforgettable moment came when I stepped off the bus at my starting point. In front of me were my family and so many people waiting with smiles and excitement. A group of children and an elderly man in a wheelchair asked to take a photo with me and the Olympic torch. Then, when I started to run, it was like living a dream — I was carrying the Olympic Flame.
Francesca: The most memorable moment was without a doubt the lighting of the torch (the famous “torch Kiss”). Starting to walk and looking around, immersed in that atmosphere, was truly wonderful.
What impression did you get of the Olympic atmosphere in Italy? What emotions did the relay evoke in you? der Staffellauf in dir ausgelöst?
Lorenzo: I was impressed by the enthusiasm along the streets, I ran through a small village in Valtellina and it was like a big festival. In moments like these, you truly understand how powerful it is to bring people together, especially the younger generations. I felt deeply proud and honored to represent the Olympic Values: Passion, Energy, Talent, and Respect.
How will you follow the Olympic Games with this impression? Do you have a favorite sport or athlete?
Lorenzo:I love all kinds of sports, so I’ll be following as many competitions as I can, especially those featuring Italian athletes. I’ll be paying particular attention to Arianna Fontana (a Short Track legend with 11 Olympic medals) as she took part in the torch relay on the same day as me.
Francesca: I will definitely follow the Olympic Games in a very engaged and passionate way, with special attention to the athletes and the stories they bring, feeling again part of that experience. My favorite sport is skiing and I admire Sofia Goggia, Federica Brignone and really all the athletes who will be participating in the Olympic Games.
