When Allison Stefanov received a call from one of her key customers canceling an in-per-son team training session due to the pandemic beginning to touch their part of the country, she knew her world was about to change. She canceled her plane and hotel reservations and quickly moved to provide the training via webinar. By the next week, all of Bauerfeind in the United States had seamlessly transitioned to a work at home arrangement.

Can you share a little bit about your time at Bauerfeind?

This year is the 35th anniversary of the Bauerfeind subsidiary in the U.S. I was one of the first full-time employees. I am impres-sed with the growth of Bauerfeind and the improvement of existing products, as well as the addition of new products. I have seen many changes over the 34 years that I have worked for Bauerfeind, but none as profound as the changes created by the coronavirus pandemic. I pride myself on being resilient and adaptable to changing situations and new challenges, even ones I never anticipa-ted!

Equipment (PPE). The team pivoted quickly to source face masks and hand sanitizer and I began selling them to my customers. It is giving me an opportunity to stay in touch with them and they are grateful that l can fill this need.

That’s a long time with one company. What has motivated you all these years?

I am passionate about providing my custo-mers with the best possible experience. I have built strong relationships and a rapport with the partners I serve. The pandemic pro-vided a unique opportunity for me to stay in touch with my customers and provide value to them. With doctor’s offices closed and no sports, our company saw an opportunity to provide value and help our country and customers by sourcing Personal Protective

So, what do you do to relax?

I enjoy the outdoors and hiking. My husband, Tom, and I have visited and hiked in over half the National Parks in the United States. We look forward to visiting the other half in the upcoming years! And, of course, in this time of pandemic, I enjoy regular Zoom calls with my family and friends.

Allison has spent much of her career at Bauerfeind moving from a sales representative to sales management to her current role as Director of National Accounts, selling to large wholesale accounts. She is a member of the Bauer-feind USA leadership team. She also oversees the Autho-rized Online Reseller Program and enforces the Commercial Policy for eCommerce.
