Project leader's mid-term conclusion

Great team and many kilometers between Livigno, Milan, and Cortina

Project manager Jörg Ritzerfeld has been commuting between all six locations since January 28. He has already covered around 3,300 km and travels from appointment to appointment. "The reason for my many trips are not only the organizational tasks, but also meetings with the delegations and the IOC, for which we regularly create a statistic," says Jörg. A total of 98 athletes were supplied with 414 products by February 16. The leaders were supports and orthoses, which were particularly given to athletes in the ski and snowboard competitions. "We are slightly behind the numbers of other winter games, but the current games cannot be compared to previous ones," explains the project manager for the Olympics. "Because we are active at a total of six locations, mostly outside the Olympic villages, fewer athletes ask for a product from us, who rather ask for preventive or regenerative measures. It is rather the severe cases that reach us in the clinics." He had praise for the particularly large international team. "I am very proud of my colleagues. We have more technicians in use than ever before, including many international employees who support us particularly with language barriers. The Italian colleagues had never been in an Olympic deployment before and have contributed with a lot of heart and linguistic flair to the fact that we also establish many contacts in the clinics and reduce the organizational effort in part."
